Building Warrant of Fitness

What is it?

A Building Warrant of Fitness (BWOF) is a legal certificate that confirms a building's safety systems (EG: fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, sprinkler systems etc), are functioning properly and meet legal standards. It must be renewed annually, with a qualified professional verifying that all systems are compliant and safe. Building owners are required to maintain a valid BWOF to ensure their building is safe for occupants and complies with regulations.
